google nexus 7Google’s Nexus 7 tablet is expected to take over the hitherto underpopulated budget corner of the tablet market. It would seem that some people will be getting the plucky little 7-incher sooner than expected, with Ebuyer telling Coolsmartphone that they’ll be sending out the tablet to lucky purchasers from tomorrow.

The 7″ tablet will set buyers back only around £160, and packs plenty of power in a relatively small frame. Impressively, it runs on Nvidia’s Tegra 3 quad-core processor, with an extra, 5th core serving to save battery life, which should give you the equivalent of 9 hours HD video playback, or 300 hours stand-by time.

The Nexus 7 is the first Android device to ship with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean; an OS update which, among other things, increases Android’s speed and performance to unprecedented levels.
