Apple have quite a few pleasantries waiting to be unleashed onto the patiently waiting technology market. Recent months have been swarmed with rumours and speculation of Apple’s next moves in handheld devices, with the purported iPad Mini and iPhone 5 being particularly prominent in the headlines.
One of the more mouth-watering rumours was that the two as-yet unannounced devices would be unveiled on the same night at some point in September, but now Apple insiders have stepped in to say that this likely won’t be the case.
Perhaps the reason for this is because the over-excitement associated with a double-unveiling of iDevices could be a safety hazard, causing stampedes, heart attacks, or even the formation of a black hole erupting from the space between the two gadgets. Either way, the source has let slip that the iPad Mini will likely be revealed in November.
The Mini will allegedly measure in at just 8″ in size and feature the same 19-pin dock connector that we’ll be seeing on the iPhone 5, suggesting that flimsy old 30-pin connectors are being consigned to the dustbin.
While the iPad Mini is touted for a November release, it’s expected that we’ll be seeing the iPhone 5 unveiled in August or September.
