Touchscreen smartphones may be all the rage, but Nokia seem keen to keep the flip phone alive. The Nokia 2720 is a prime example of this, offering a clamshell form factor and a strong set of, albeit basic, features.

Despite its dated styling, the 2720 impresses with its Jet Black gloss and slim form factor. On opening the phone, you're greeted with a 1.8 inch colour display, alongside a sturdy set of well-spaced keys for firing out messages.

Flip phones may not be all the rage, but they're certainly functional. Nokia's simplified menu offers seamless accessibility to the phones main features, and excels when making calls and sending off messages.

Despite its budget price tag, the Nokia 2720 doesn't just offer the basics. While nothing to get excited about, the handset offers a 1.3 megapixel camera, capable of recording video at 15fps. It also houses a built-in music player, but with just 9MB of internal memory, it won't be capable of storing all of your songs. Unless you only have 2, that is.

Although it lacks both 3G and WiFi connectivity, we were surpised to see that you can even access the internet from this bargain mobile.

While it may not be the most feature packed phone on the market, Nokia prove that even on a budget, you can find the perfect mix of fashion and functionality.
