Available in either Black or Magenta, the Nokia 2730 Classic is a 3G enabled mobile that exudes sophistication. It sports a candybar shape, and with dimensions of 14.4 x 109.6 x 46.9 and a weight of just 87g, it's perfect for slipping straight into your pocket.

The 2730 Classic boasts a 2.0 inch TFT colour display, which supports 262K colours and a pixel resolution of 320 x 240. It can be easily customized too, with the handset's pre-installed wallpapers and screensavers.

The Nokia 2730 Classic offers SMS or text, EMS or enhanced and MMS or multimedia messaging. Its capability to go online also allows users to check their e-mails, or compose and send e-mail messages with attachments. Online chatting is also possible with this handset, as it supports Windows Live Messenger chat service. With 3G connectivity and Opera Mini Web Browser onboard, users can also access the Internet with fast speeds, providing easy access to Facebook and Twitter updates.

Effectively doubling as organiser, this handset has a phone book that stores 1,000 contacts which can be viewed with images. For photo buffs, the Nokia 2730 Classic has a 2 megapixel camera complete with 4x digital zoom editing software, including tools such as white balance mode, light mode and landscape mode to ensure a flawless shot. This pre-installed camera also records videos in 10 frames per second, and supports video streaming and viewing in 3GP format.

Music listening is also a blast with this mobile phone's onboard music player that supports AMR, MXMF, AMR WB, MP3, MIDI, MP3, X Tone, AAC, WAV and WMA. An FM radio with RDS may also be selected by users as an alternative listening device, from which they may simply tune in to their favourite radio stations. This handset allows users to store data in 30-Megabyte internal storage capacity. This memory may be expanded to support up to 2 Gigabytes. Users will take pleasure in talking to their family and friends for a maximum of 7 hours using this mobile phone. It has a standby capacity of up to 360 hours.

This mobile phone is getting flak for a smaller internal storage, compared with other 3G handsets that are mushrooming in the market. Other unhappy users also point out that this handset tends to lag when certain applications are used. Despite the criticisms, the Nokia 2730 Classic is hailed as a quality 3G handset that offers straightforward features without compromising fun and entertainment.
