Marketed as a rugged handset, the Nokia 3720 Classic is best known for it's toughness. Not only is the handset shock and dust proof, it also offers a waterproof casing protecting its internals from getting damaged. Despite being a toughphone, the handset doesn't comprimise in style, and is available in a Black chassis with either Grey or Yellow accents.

It's a compact mobile, measuring in at just 115 x 47 x 15.3 and weighing 93g, inclusive of its 1050 mAh Li-Ion battery. Inside its compact body is a 2.2 inch TFT colour display, complete with 240 x 320 pixel resolution. This is coupled with a traditional keypad and navigation key, perfect for finding your way around the simplistic menu.

This handset is tri band and works on GSM 900, GSM 1800 and GSM 1900. It allows users to explore the internet using a built-in HTML and XHTML WAP browser. It also comes with the connectivity features of USB and wireless Bluetooth to make file sharing or data transfers with other compatible devices, such as other handsets, personal computers, printers, scanners or laptops. This handset particularly supports PC synchronisation with the Nokia PC Suite. As it is powered by EDGE and GPRS technologies, this mobile phone ensures users of speedy Internet downloading and data transfer rates.

It also logs dialled, received or missed calls, enabling users to keep track of their mobile phone transactions. Moreover, this handset supports multi-calling, allowing a maximum of 6 participants in a conference call.

This mobile phone enables users to store 20MB of photos, videos, downloaded games and other files. It can support up to 8GB of stored data using a memory card. Users can speak with their contacts with this handset's 7-hour talk time capacity. This mobile phone is able to stay on standby mode for 408 hours.

Generally, this mobile phone gained criticism for its average performing camera and music player. Other unhappy users also find this handset's features to be no more than ordinary. However, the Nokia 3720 Classic is getting rave praises for its extreme durability. It is also commended for its decent earpiece volume and call audio quality overall.
