Orange has released a number of own-branded smartphones in the UK, manufactured by the likes of Huawei and ZTE. These usually run on Google's Android operating system, or Orange's proprietary feature phone software.

Recently Released Orange Mobile Phones
Orange was formed by in 1994 by Hutchinson Telecom, before being sold to France Telecom in 2000. More recently, Deutsche Telecom announced plans to merge UK networks Orange and T-Mobile to create the country's largest operator, a deal which was finalised in 2010. Now, the two networks operate under Everything Everywhere Limited, and are home to around 28 million customers.
Although best known for their Animal-named price plans and Orange Wednesdays promotion, the network has also released a range of own-branded smartphones. To date, the most popular has been the ZTE-made Orange San Francisco, a phone which has sold 2.5 million units worldwide.
In 2011 the company released a sequel, the Orange San Francisco 2, alongside a bunch of other Android-powered smartphones including the Monte Carlo and Barcelona, as well as the Orange Tahiti Android Gingerbread tablet. However, Orange has also launched a range of cheap pay as you go feature phones, including the Orange Atlanta and Orange Miami.
