Orange Santa Clara Preview

The Orange Santa Clara, previously leaked as the Orange London, will be the first Intel-powered smartphone to reach the UK.
Intel's 1.6GHz Medfield processor is the handset's chipset of choice, which is supposedly faster than Nvidia's dual-core Tegra 2. This will be paired with Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread software at launch, with an update to ICS set to be released "shortly thereafter".
The handset measures in at 123 x 63 x 9.99mm and features a 4.03-inch 1024 x 600 resolution touchscreen. This acts as a portal to a number of pre-loaded apps from the UK network, including; Orange Gestures, Wednesdays and Orange TV. Orange's QuickTap feature is also onboard, thanks to the handset's integrated NFC.
Full specifications are still to be given the official outing, although we can expect an 8 megapixel HD camera than can take 10 snapshots in less than a second, a front-facing video call camera and 1080p HD video.
Availability details for the Orange Santa Clara are still to be confirmed.
