A Preview of the Orange Tahiti
The Huawei-made Tahiti is Orange's first own-brand tablet destined for Blighty, and looks set to impress with its competitive spec-sheet.
At the forefront of the 10.5mm-thick tablet there's a 7-inch multi-touch LCD touchscreen, dressed in Android 2.3 Honeycomb OS. As with the budget San Francisco and Barcelona handset this will come equipped with exclusive Orange apps, including Wednesdays, App Store and Maps.
Under the hood of the Tahiti there's a decent 1.2GHz dual-core processor, alongside 5.8MB of built-in memory with room to expand via microSD.
Other specs include a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and HD video, 1080p HD video playback, a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, HSPA+ and WiFi connectivity and a 4100mAh battery.
The Orange Tahiti will be available in the UK from the middle-of January 2012, exclusively through the Orange network.
