A Preview of the Samsung Galaxy 3D
The 3D mobile revolution is starting to take off, with LG and HTC already firmly on the bandwagon. Samsung could able be working on a 3D device, which looks set to hit the market as the Galaxy 3D.
Samsung's debut 3D device will supposedly come running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor under the hood - matching Samsung's Galaxy S2. The similarities don't end there either, as the so-called Samsung Galaxy 3D will also tout an expansive 4.3-inch AMOLED screen. However, this will feature stereoscopic tech, providing users with 3D graphics.
If speculation is anything to go by, the Galaxy 3D will also pack dual, rear-mounted 8 megapixel cameras, capable of shooting 3D stills and HD footage. There's also whispers of a HDMI port, which means you'll be able to mirror footage on your 3D TV. If you're lucky enough to have one, that is.
We're also assuming that the Galaxy 3D will come dressed in Samsung's TouchWiz UI, complete with some added three-dimensional tweaks. Our other guesses include; an integrated FM radio, GPS, Bluetooth, HSDPA and WiFi connectivity, and 32GB of built-in memory.
The handset is reportedly due to release in Q4 2011, where it'll face tough competition from the next-gen Nexus and the iPhone 5.
A full review will be published here once the phone has been released.
