A Preview of the Samsung Galaxy M
Officially unveiled in South Korea, the Samsung Galaxy M is the firm's latest mid-range Android smartphone, and aims to bring Super AMOLED to the masses.
The phone boasts a similar casing to the Galaxy S2, although forgos plastic in favour of a refined metal body, and weighs in a little chunkier at 9.9mm. It's within this casing you'll find the handset's stunning 4-inch 480 x 800 Super AMOLED screen, which promises to deliver the darkest blacks and most vibrant colours.
Running Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the Galaxy M comes skinned in Sammy's TouchWiz UI, which utilities the handset's eye-popping AMOLED technology. It also offers one-touch access to the phone's main features, which include; Samsung Hubs (Music, Games, Social), Gmail and access to the Android Market.
Unfortunately, not all of the phone's specs are impressive as its screen. There's a 1GHz single-core processor under the hood, and a mere 3 megapixel camera sitting on the rear of the handset. Still, you'll also find a VGA front-facing camera, 4GB of included memory, a 1650mAh battery and all of the usual connectivity options (Bluetooth, HSDPA, WiFi).
