Samsung's wondrous new smartphone comes touting a powerful 1.4GHz processor, a 3.7-inch screen and Android 2.3
A Preview of the Samsung Galaxy W
The Galaxy W is one of the first handsets to debut Samsung's new naming strategy, and according to the alphabetical structure, the Galaxy W is a 'high quality' smartphone, perfect for those seeking a balance between style and performance.
The phone itself measures in at 115.8 x 59 x 11.5mm, and a 1.4GHz processor paired with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). This powers the handset's 3.7-inch Super LCD touchscreen, which will come dressed in Samsung's TouchWiz UI. With this custom Android skin onboard, the phone will arrive equipped with; multiple customisable homescreens, social networking integration, and Samsung's usual array of Hubs.
Samsung has also confirmed the handset's Kies Air support, which much like HTC's online portal, enables users to track their phone.
Although its full specs are still to be confirmed, we can expect it to come with a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera, a front-facing VGA webcam, integrated GPS, and HSDPA and WiFi connectivity.
A full review will be published here once the phone has been released.
