Editor's Review of the Vairy Touch
Sporting the full dimensions of 92.6 x 52.3 x 16 millimetres, and weighing 83.5 grams including its fitted battery, the T-Mobile Vairy Touch, also known as the ZTE X760 handset, is an advanced mobile phone that is slim, light, small and easy to use despite being technologically advanced,.
The mobile phone comes with a huge touch-sensitive screen that measures 60.96 millimetres and takes up majority of its front area. The wide display screen showcases wallpapers in sharp and crisp colours. Users can also personalise the handset by selecting from a set of pre-installed ringtones.
Along with its physical attractiveness, the T-Mobile Vairy Touch impresses users with its full range of functionalities and entertainment features. Because the mobile phone works on mini PDA interface, users can input text messages either through the built-in keyboard or through handwriting. The handset's system is built to automatically convert handwriting into mobile phone text. It is also equipped with a stylist pen for purposes of creating text messages and navigating the handset's applications that are displayed on the touchscreen as icons. The stylist pen is conveniently located at the side and can be conveniently slid off.
The handset works on dual band technology. Specifically, it covers the networks of GSM 900 and GSM 1800. The mobile phone also comes with a built-in Web browser that allows users to surf the Internet. Moreover, users may opt to download ringtones and wallpapers from the Internet and give the users the option to personalize their units even more.
The T-Mobile Vairy Touch is also powered by wireless Bluetooth technology. Through this, users can transfer or share files and data with compatible devices without the hassle of tangled wires. It also has standard mobile phone functionalities like text messaging or SMS, as well as multimedia messaging or MMS services.
The T-Mobile Vairy Touch can also pass off as a virtual assistant to business-oriented users. It is equipped with various organiser tools, including a calendar for scheduling purposes, currency converter and calculator for necessary computations, as well as a world clock, a stopwatch and an alarm clock that keep users on track of time.
The T-Mobile Vairy Touch is also packed with quality entertainment features. It houses a 1.3 Megapixel camera. This onboard camera is also capable of recording footages while supporting video playback. The sophisticated handset also pleases music enthusiasts as it turns into an instant music player that supports audio in MP3 format. In addition, the mobile phone is equipped with support for FM radio that enables users to listen to their favourite tunes on air. A built-in loudspeaker will allow users to enjoy the tracks. Those who prefer a quality private listening experience can utilise the headphones that is provided with the mobile phone's start-up kit. The handset also allows users to record audio with a sound recorder. Through this, owners of the handset can try to create their very own tracks.
Moreover, the handset can turn into a gaming zone where game hobbyists can play with the pre-installed classic games right on the mobile phone.
Users will be able to save their messages, contacts, photos and videos on the 1 Gigabyte internal memory of the handset. This storage capacity can be further expanded using a memory card. Users will enjoy talking to their family, friends and other contacts using the mobile phone for a talk time of one hour and 20 minutes, or a total of 180 minutes. The handset also stays on standby mode for 180 hours. With a standard battery that guarantees extended mobile phone usage period, the T-Mobile Vairy Touch needs not be charged every few hours.
Although endowed with technologically advanced features, users have complained about the average-performing camera that is pre-installed in the handset. Others have also noted that the mobile phone is a fingerprint magnet, which messes up its otherwise glossy casing. Other observers also point out that the handset's media player would have worked better if it supported other audio formats aside from the widely accepted MP3.
Nonetheless, satisfied users have lauded the T-Mobile Vairy Touch for its sleek external appearance, as well as practical and entertaining functionalities that please both the business- and entertainment-oriented users.

This phone is really bad. I only had it for a few weeks because after that it freezes and it runs out of battery after 1 day and takes FOREVER to charge. dont buy it, its a waste of money.

IT SUCKS!!!! The screen goes fuzzy after youve had it a while, the camera is also bad, takes forever to charge and hardly anything to run the battery down, you get echos when ya speak to people and the web is soooo slow. But the messaging and music speaker is okay.
The camera is rubbish, but its cheap.
Bought this phone before christmas; first time I had used a touch screen so it took a little getting used to but I am pleased with it except the battery life is very short and I am having to re-charge far more than on my older, and cheaper, phone. Would be grateful to know if anyone else has this problem?
The T-mobile vair touch is a great phone if your looking for value for money, It has a great battery life and a nice design..
I has an ok camera and is good for messaging...the internet is fast but the bad qualities of this phone are the speakers, great for the first month and then my speakers blew, my earphones also died on me and it started re-starting when i had a full memory...it also has a great camera with a lot of settings to get a professional standard.. :) overall 7/10
I got this phone June this year. Got it out of the box and my first reaction was that it was quite small, it was quite fiddly to get the sim and card in but it is for most phones.
The touch screen for typing is very small but the stylus does make it easier. The camera is ok if you dont really mind about a few colour spots here and there. Music and memory space is fantastic and comes with a great set of headphones. It also has useful alarm settings, a large calculator and a radio. This phone has fantastic features for people who want a great phone for a reasonable price. If I was to make changes to this phone then I wound have made it bigger but overall a great first touch screen phone.
i bought this phone from the catologue,so wasnt to sure what to expect when it arrived as it is so cheap.but im very pleased with it.and would reccomend it,its very light and nice to look at,not a ugly phone at all.people i have spoken to have said they get a echo on there end but i cant hear it,one conversation i have had sounded a bit muffled, but that could of been my singnal.all in all its a very nice phone and good if your on a budget.
T-Mobile Vairy Touch is a really good phone, its easy to use and you can put the phone in 7 different user profiles. The music is very loud on this phone and you can store quite a lot of songs. I was very impressed with the phone from time i opened the box. I would recommend this phone to everybody. Its a cheap and easier way to have a cool new gadget!
Got this phone 10 days ago from Phones4u. I bought it because it described as touchscreen phone. It is as described, touch the main screen one and brings up a large numerical keypad so dialing numbers is easy and it does not keylock the phone if dialing a utility co who say press 1 for x, press 2 etc. The phone has icons to you can shortcut to profiles screen, settings etc. The is a large amount of space on the phone and it comes with a memory card 1gb, so you can download you music to the music play. It has mobile internet so browse bbc/mobile or transport for london for travel info. Texting is good you can either use the pen provided (at back of phone) which recognises handwriting or do what I do and use my fingernails it quicker for me. Voice calls are low and clear. Some phone when putting phone on vibrate mode, you can barely feel it in you pocket but you can on this phone. I also like the large screen,it has 6 alarm settings, a large calculator and a radio. I charge the phone 4 days on average unless use the music player frequently. This is 2nd phone that use for family members. The other good thing is it uses the same phone charger as my blackberry, so keep spare charger at work for both. I definately recommend this phone the menu is very intutive/
